ABOUT THE PROJECT

When it comes to social media performance, real-time communication is what really matters and differentiates your brand from the noise in social media.

BRIEF

In real-time communication, the brief comes itself. Garanti Bank had recently launched an innovative feature of its mobile app which enables the customers to get queue number from the branches while they are approaching to the physical branches via mobile app and reduce their time spent within the branch. And after a week, “mannequin challange” videos became phenomenal all over the social media. At the moment, we saw this hype in social media; our real-time content idea was ready; “don’t lose time in banking branches, freeze people like mannequins and get on the top of the queue via Cep Garanti mobile app.

APPROACH

We decided to shoot our video in a bank branch, by using bank branch employees at the desks. We distorted the concept a bit. As the customer in a first person point of view get his/her queue number from the app, all the customers and employees at the branch got frozen like mannequins. We’ve became one of the first two brands in Turkey that broadcasted mannequin challenge videos and got the top interaction score of that month.
